Jack Frost Winterfest Seeks Over 100 Volunteers

The Jack Frost Winterfest is looking for over 100 volunteers during the festival from February 16 – 19 and February 23 – 25, 2024. Volunteers play a critical role in this exciting, family friendly event, and the benefits offered to the volunteers include:

  • Two day passes for each shift worked, each shift is 4 to 5 hours long. There will be shifts scheduled for indoor and outdoor venues.
  • Custom Jack Frost Winterfest toque (volunteer uniform)
  • Volunteer Certificate (upon request)
  • Onsite snacks and beverages
  • Opportunity to meet new people and be part of the community

 

The Jack Frost Winterfest will take place at several venues across PEI, including The Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale, Delta Prince Edward, Port Charlottetown, Founders’ Food Hall & Market, and Victoria Row.

 

All volunteers will be required to complete a criminal record check (at no charge). Volunteers will receive a personalized letter to bring to their local detachment and will be required to complete any additional paperwork, along with providing photo identification.

Embrace the magic of winter during the Family Day Long Weekend, from February 16-19, 2024, and extend the excitement with a bonus weekend from February 23-25, 2024 at the Jack Frost Winterfest.

 

Over both weekends, the Nordic site at Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale will transform into Snowtopia, Jack Frost Winterfest’s new outdoor activity zone presented by Dairy Farmers of PEI. Exclusive to the Family Day Weekend, February 16-19, the Delta Prince Edward by Marriott will be home to Frosty Funland, the hub of indoor entertainment. During the second weekend, from February 23-25, Port Charlottetown becomes the site of the Seaport Snow Globe, a cozy and intimate indoor activity space.

 

Other venues include the Warm and Glow Zone at Founders’ Hall Food & Market and Sleigh Bell Boulevard on Victoria Row.
