When is the 2025 Jack Frost Winterfest?
Brace yourselves for winter fun as Jack Frost Winterfest returns this Family Day Long Weekend, from February 14-17, 2025.
Where does the Jack Frost Winterfest take place?
Your home base is Charlottetown, PEI. The festival features two ticketed venues:
Snowtopia at the Mark Arendz Provincial Nordic Ski Park in Brookvale

There will also be complimentary programming offered at the Warm and Glow Zone at Founders’ Food Hall and Market and Sleighbell Boulevard in Downtown Charlottetown. Including ice skating, fireworks, buskers, and live music. Please check the schedule for details.
When and where do Jack Frost Winterfest tickets go on sale?
Tickets for Jack Frost Winterfest are now on sale!
- Online: Purchase tickets here
- On Site: Yes! Day Passes and Venue-Only Passes will be available for purchase on-site at Snowtopia and Frosty Funland; availability may be limited due to capacity. Day Passes include access to both Snowtopia and Frosty Funland, while Venue-Only Passes are $24 for one-time entry to a single venue. To ensure you don’t miss out on the fun, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.

Are tickets included when I book a hotel?
If you purchase a VIP Hotel Package it includes 4 VIP Tickets to the festival. If you opt for the hotel deals which only include the hotel’s best available rate then you will need to book your tickets.

What should we do if our family has 5 (or more) members instead of 4?
Our family passes are designed for groups of 4. If you have a family of 5, simply purchase one additional individual pass to ensure everyone can join in the fun!
I booked a VIP Hotel Package but haven’t received a confirmation email. How will I get my festival passes?
Your physical passes will be ready for you at hotel check-in! No confirmation email will be sent.
Festival Policies
Can I share my Jack Frost Winterfest Ski Tag?
Jack Frost Winterfest Ski Tags are non-transferable. Ski Tags must be secured to your jacket pull and are not able to be removed and transferred to someone else.
Does my kid(s) need to have a Jack Frost Winterfest ticket to get in?
All children 2 years and older will need a Jack Frost Winterfest ticket to gain access to the two ticketed festival venues: Snowtopia at the Mark Arendz Provincial Nordic Ski Park in Brookvale & Frosty Funland at the Delta Prince Edward by Mariott. Children under two will be admitted free.
Can I get a refund on my Jack Frost Winterfest tickets?
All Sales Are Final: Jack Frost Winterfest has a no-refund policy for all ticket purchases. Once a purchase is made, it is considered final, and we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits for any reason other than festival cancellations.
What happens if there is bad weather during Jack Frost Winterfest?
Attraction Closures: Some attractions at Jack Frost Winterfest may be temporarily closed in inclement weather until conditions permit safe operation. While we make every effort to keep all attractions operational, guest safety remains our top priority. If an attraction is temporarily closed due to weather, we encourage you to enjoy other indoor activities such as live shows, meals, shopping, and entertainment until the weather conditions improve and the attraction can be safely reopened.
Cancellation Notifications: Any information about schedule changes will be communicated through our social media channels and text messages. It is essential to check for updates and announcements daily before your visit to stay informed about any potential changes that may impact your visit.
Can I bring my pets to the Festival?
Only service animals are permitted at the Festival. Other pets are not allowed due to food safety regulations.

Snowtopia: The lost and found is located at the Ticket Office
Frosty Funland: The lost and found is located at the volunteer check in
Can I buy food and drinks on-site?
Warm & Glow Zone:
Visit Founders Food Hall and Market for a variety of delicious options.
Frosty Funland:
Enjoy pizza by the slice from Papa John’s Pizza and carnival-style treats (available at an additional cost).
Snowtopia:
Food vendors will be on-site to serve you (additional costs apply), including Bits Bikes Brews Cafe, Papa John’s Pizza, Lola’s Canadian Food Truck, and At Your Service Creations. Please note: Cell service at Snowtopia may be spotty. While most vendors accept cards, we recommend bringing cash for convenience.
We also encourage you to explore the many fantastic restaurants in Charlottetown for more dining options!
What's the parking situation at Snowtopia?
Parking is available at Snowtopia, with both a main and overflow parking lot. A convenient shuttle service will transport you from the parking areas directly to the event grounds, making it easy to enjoy the festivities!
Please anticipate a five to ten-minute walk from your parking spot to the event entrance.
Limited accessibility parking spaces are available close to the event entrance.
What's the parking situation for Frosty Funland?
City Parking, parkades, street parking, and Delta Prince Edward by Marriott underground parking are available.
Is the Jack Frost Winterfest accessible?
Jack Frost Winterfest prides itself in making the festival an inclusive space for all to enjoy the magic of winter.
Snowtopia:
- Designated accessibility parking is available
- Shuttle Service is provided from the additional parking lot to the festival site.
- Accessible washrooms are available.
- Service dogs are welcome.
- The site has easy access to food, washrooms, and the warm-up tent featuring entertainment and winter crafts. Please note there is uphill walking on snow paths to access the tubing, outdoor games, slides and other activities. People with mobility issues may have difficulty accessing the full event site.
- Snowtopia is fully outdoors and most of the site is not wheelchair accessible
Frosty Funland :

Can I bring a stroller to Snowtopia?
We recommend leaving strollers at home and using sleds or wagons for a smoother experience at the venue. While sleds from home are not allowed on the slides, they can be used to transport children and personal belongings around Snowtopia.
Are storage or lockers provided at the venues?
There is no storage available at any venue. It is recommended that you bring a backpack. If you choose to leave your coats or personal items it is at your own risk. Jack Frost Winterfest is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Frosty Funland: Permanent washrooms and Accessible Washrooms are on-site

Are chairs allowed on festival sites?
You are welcome to bring a chair to the Snowtopia venue only.
Once I am inside a location, am I able to leave and come back?
With your Jack Frost Winterfest Ski Tag, you have the flexibility to leave and re-enter each venue as you please throughout the day for which your ticket is valid so you can enjoy the festivities at your own pace!
If I’m heading to Snowtopia, the outdoor activity zone, what should I wear?
It's recommended to dress warmly and in layers. Kids and adults should be equipped with snow gear, snow boots, snow pants, hats, and mittens for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Can I bring my own sled to use on the Snowtopia slides?
No, sleds from home are not allowed on the slides.

I’ve never attended the Jack Frost Winterfest - what should I expect From Snowtopia?
At Snowtopia, you'll find easy access to food, washrooms, and a Warm Up Tent with entertainment. To enjoy tubing, outdoor games, slides, horse & sleigh rides and other activities, be prepared for some uphill walking on snow paths.
Make sure to dress warmly, wear winter boots, and be ready to walk around on outdoor, sloped terrain to fully enjoy the winter fun!
